‘Bil-Tel Cluster’ was awarded as the ‘National Winner’

Within the framework of European Entrepreneurship Encouragement Awards (EEPA), Bilkent CYBERPARK won the ‘National Winner’ award and became the champion of Turkey for the second time. EEPA is organized by the European Commission to identify the most successful sponsors of entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship across Europe, to demonstrate the best entrepreneurship policies and practices, to raise awareness of the added value of entrepreneurship and to inspire potential entrepreneurs by encouraging them. In the category of ‘Supporting Internationalization of Businesses’, where EEPA accepts initiatives at national, regional and local level, especially projects that encourage small and medium-sized enterprises to take more advantage of the opportunities offered by markets both within and outside the European Union, the ‘Bilkent CYBERPARK’s ‘Bil-Tel Cluster’ became the ‘National Winner’. Being the only technopark entitled to receive award from Turkey, Bilkent CYBERPARK also won the same award in 2018 with CYBERPARK Accelerator Program (CAP).

The ‘Bil-Tel Cluster’, which has many international awards and started its activities in 2013; is one of the few clusters that contribute to Turkey’s IT sector. The ‘Bil-Tel Cluster’, which has 43 member companies with high quality standards in the field of information and telecommunication technologies, is supported within the scope of the HİSER (Increasing Service Sector Competitiveness) Project of the Ministry of Trade. EEPA rewards projects in participating countries working to promote entrepreneurship and small businesses at the national, regional and local level through various initiatives. Since 2006, more than 4 thousand projects have participated in the awards and the establishment of more than 10 thousand new companies has been supported.
